The Power to Effect Change
The 1-285th Army National Guard and their families celebrate with the Oro Valley American Legion Family
Our volunteers work tirelessly developing programs that result in meaningful change. And that change is what leads step by step into a brighter future.
As an individual or business, you can make a difference in your community through the
American Legion Auxiliary in Arizona.
Our work is completed through 100% volunteerism. Our volunteers might have a passion for veterans and decide, for example, to work with the Arizona VA Hospitals, the Arizona Creative Arts Festivals or with the special circumstances of women veterans.
Some find work with active military rewarding; they interact with the military bases in Arizona and service personnel overseas. Patriotism in schools, oratorical contests and junior mentorship are just a few ways our volunteers support youth development.
Holiday parties, events and financial support are typical ways we support military families who have a spouse or parent currently serving. Click below to learn more:
For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.
